Statistical Studies on Hospital Delivery Cases


Abstract
A statistical studies carried out on five hundred sixty women who were utilized. ¢¥to delivery room of Chonnam University hospital, from Jan. 1, 1972, to Dec. 31, 1.972 and following results were obtained.
1) Monthly average of hospital delivery were 46 cases, and secondary sex ratio, of new born showed that M : F=122 :100.
2) 38.0% of the primipara make use of hospital delivery room, and thee multiparawere 62. 0%.
3) Age distribution of the primipara showed the highest use of hospital delivery in the group of 2529 years of age(61. 9%).
4) Concerning to use of hospital delivery, there was no regarding with duration.of pregnancy between the primipara and multipara.
5) As to appearance frequency of lower body weight infants, 10. 7% (60 cases),showed the statistically significant and sex ratio showed that M:F=93.5:100 (P <0. 001).
6) Hospital delivery was carried out in the primipara, Vaccum delivery: 44.1%, Spontaneous delivery: 46.5%, Cesarean delivery: 7.5%, and in the multipara,. Vaccum delivery: 12.1%, Spontaneous delivery: 79.3%, Cesarean. delivery: 6.6%. As to the vaccum and cesarean delivery showed the highest occurrence in the primipara.
7) Twenty nine cases of premature infants which under of 2.5 kg in body weight,and under of 45 cm in body height, was statistically significant(P <0. 001).
